How to Use RootStall

How to Create Your Market

1. Download RootStall from the App Store and create an account
2. Pick a username, enter your zip code, and add a profile photo
3. Tap "Create New Market"
4. Fill in your market details:
   • Market name and description
   • Category — food, crafts, etc.
   • Location — address and map pin
   • Date & time — single date or recurring (weekly, monthly)
   • Cover photo — this is what buyers see first
5. Set vendor requirements if needed (waiver, business license, insurance)
6. Set a vendor booth fee (optional)
7. Choose public or private
8. Tap Create — your market is now live on the app

How to Manage Vendor Applications

1. Go to your Dashboard → Markets tab
2. Tap on your market → Manage Market
3. Open the Requests tab
4. You'll see pending vendor applications with their info
5. For each vendor:
   • Approve — they're in (you can approve for specific dates)
   • Decline — with an optional reason so they know why

How to Check In Vendors on Market Day

Two options — scan or manual:

Option 1 — QR Code Scan

1. Go to Manage Market → Check-Ins tab
2. Tap the QR scanner button
3. Point your camera at the vendor's QR code (they show it from their phone)
4. Green banner = checked in. Done.

Option 2 — Manual

1. Go to Manage Market → Check-Ins tab
2. Find the vendor in the list
3. Tap the checkbox next to their name

How to Use the Booth Layout

1. Go to Manage Market → Layout tab
2. Set up your booth positions on the visual editor
3. Assign approved vendors to specific booth locations
4. Vendors can see where they're assigned when they check the market

How to Send Notifications to Vendors

1. Go to Manage Market → Notifications tab
2. Type your message
3. Send — all approved vendors get notified
4. Use this for updates, reminders, schedule changes, or cancellations

How to Create Your Account

1. Download RootStall from the App Store
2. Sign up with your email or Google account
3. Pick a username, enter your zip code, and add a profile photo
4. Tap "Become a Vendor"
5. Select your vendor category (food, crafts, etc.)
6. Tap Apply — once approved, you can start listing products

How to List a Product

1. Tap "Create New Product"
2. Add your product details:
   • Product name and category
   • Photo — at least 1 (up to 3)
   • Price — or mark as a giveaway if it's free
   • Description (optional but recommended)
   • Quantity available (optional)
3. Tap Create — your product is now live on your storefront 24/7

How to Apply to a Market

1. Browse markets on the Home page or Markets map
2. Tap on a market to see the details
3. Tap "Attend Market"
4. Select which dates you want to attend (for recurring markets)
5. Accept any required waivers or documents
6. Tap Submit — your application goes to the market organizer
7. You'll be notified when you're approved or declined
8. Check your status anytime in "Markets I'm Attending"

How to Check In on Market Day

1. Go to the market page in the app
2. Tap "Check In"
3. Your personal QR code pops up
4. Show it to the market organizer — they scan it and you're checked in

How to Find Markets

1. Download RootStall from the App Store
2. Open the app — nearby markets appear on the map
3. Tap any market to see details: location, hours, vendors, and products
4. Browse vendor storefronts and products before you go

How to Browse and Shop

1. Tap on a vendor to see their full product list
2. Browse products with photos, descriptions, and prices
3. Shop in-person at the market or order through the app — whatever works
4. Follow vendors to stay updated on new products
